This summer Eva participated in a Rock Band camp. They rehearsed twice a week for six weeks to prepare for a big end of summer concert on the Town Green.
Their group, the Crispy Flame Snapback Dragons, consisted of four girls, all of whom had taken lessons for just one year.
Eva had hoped a whole cheering section, so we invited friends, family and neighbors. We were so surprised when everyone we invited showed up! Eva had quite an entourage there to support her.

The first two songs were a bit rocky...but by the third song, they found their groove. Unfortunately I am having a hard time getting the video off my video camera. Luckily I also recorded the concert on another camera, focused just on Eva.

The first song was 'You Belong With Me' by Taylor Swift.

Next they played 'Stressed Out' by 21 Pilots.

The third song was their best one, and the one we were most looking forward to hearing because it was the song Eva had chosen for the group to learn. Eva is playing drums and singing on this one, no easy feat!

After their performance, the mother of the other singer presented everyone with bouquets of roses.
We are so proud of Eva for the hard work she put into this summer! It was such a fun afternoon, sitting in the park listening to all of the young musicians.
And in case you're wondering, Eva said she is DEFINITELY going to be the Rock Band camp again next summer. We can't wait to see what she does next year!
Way to go, Rock Star!!

Eva looks so much like David in that last photo.
Her drumming was very good. She was even able to look around while playing
(an Eva trait.)
