A family cookout

Last night we had a family cookout at Jared's house, complete with beer, brats, hamburgers, bean salad, cole slaw and sweet corn.

The guys: Josh, Dave and Jared (and the dog, Huck)

Amanda and Eva couldn't wait to see their cousins again and they sure had fun playing together. I think poor Brady (aka Batman) felt a little left out, being severely outnumbered by the girls 4 to 1!

The trampoline was a big hit with everyone and the kids did a pretty good job of following the "one jumper at a time" rule.

Taylor was such a good cousin, keeping a watchful eye over Eva and doting on her and I'm pretty sure Eva really enjoyed all of the extra attention.

After dinner, Auntie Pam brought out a pan of freshly baked chocolate brownies to celebrate Eva's birthday. Both she and Amanda received birthday gifts like a soap making kit, an entire toolbox of doctor equipment and a Barbie doll.

The cousins picked off all the sugary cake decorations.

It was a late night for the girls, but for once, they actually slept in this morning!

Tonight we are all going out for a traditional Wisconsin fish fry, which I have been looking forward to for a long time now!

Beer battered cod.... mmmmmm....
