Easter

The day before Easter, our town had its big Easter Egg Hunt at Coast Guard Hill. They do a great job every year and one of the local realtors even donated five $100 savings bonds, one for each age group.

We met up with Amanda's good friend Paul and his little sister, Colleen, who was too camera shy to be in the photo.

I stayed with Eva in the "2 year old lane" while Amanda, Paul and some other classmates hunted in the "4 year old lane." They all had a great time filling their baskets with the colorful plastic eggs.

Eva definitely got the hang of it this time. Watch her scurry around in her striped sweater and green frog basket.

Afterwards, the four kids sat together opening their eggs, which were filled with candy, stickers and tiny toys.


On Easter Sunday, we took a drive to the Cape and spent some time on the beach at Sandwich. The girls went into the water up to their knees and probably would have gone in further if we had brought bathing suits! At one point, Eva began stripping saying she wanted to swim without her clothes on. Oh, boy.

In the evening, we went out for dinner with Omi and had Italian food - veal marsala and various pasta dishes.

It was a beautiful weekend with plenty of sun and warm temperatures. It is supposed to be in the 70's all week, which is perfect for the many playdates we have scheduled! Our daffodils and lilies are in full bloom now. Hooray for Spring!
