Halloween Fun

Halloween was a lot of fun this year, probably because we had a bigger group of kids for trick or treating. It was more about the experience of being together than the amount of "loot" they ended up with.

We started the night off with our traditional Pizza Party at Kim and Eliana's house. After dinner we got everyone into their costumes and waited for cousin Nickolas. Liam and Nick would both be trick or treating for the first time.

Amanda wore her Dalmatian costume from last year's dance recital, the one she wore for the "Doggie in the Window" number. We just put her black leotard underneath it, and added some black leggings to keep her warm.

Eva also wore one of Amanda's dance costumes from last year's recital, the flashy newsgirl outfit. She loved it, especially all of the sequins!

Liam also loved his costume and didn't mind having it on one bit. In fact, he kept the hood up the entire night. It was a good thing he had such a warm, cozy costume because it was a chilly night.

"Trick or treat!"

Once Auntie Angelina and Nick arrived, we all headed over to Amanda's best friend Katelynn's house. We snapped a few pictures, got the kids loaded into the wagon and stroller and then started on our trek around Katelynn's quiet neighborhood.

Liam got the hang of trick or treating by the second house. (At the first house, he walked up to the front door and tried to hug the stranger holding the candy bowl. I remember Amanda doing the same thing when she was younger!) I really didn't think Liam would get much out of the whole experience, but I was wrong. He tried to keep up with his sisters as best he could. We were out for about an hour, but much of it was spent walking up and down the long driveways.
