Cranberry Bread

The weather here has turned finally turned cold, and it felt like a good day to do some baking with the girls.

Today, I decided that we would bake cranberry bread. As it turns out, this was one of our more positive and successful baking experiences!

Amanda actually baked cranberry bread again this afternoon at Preschool, so by now, she's probably a pro!

I allowed Amanda to have more of a leadership role on this particular baking adventure, and she handled it well. Eva played the role of the quiet and patient observer.

Pouring the pre-packaged mix into the bowl

Reading the list of ingredients, or at least following the pictures, on the box.

Adding the milk

Grating a little orange zest for some extra zing

Mixing the batter

And finally: "Yes, now you can lick the spoon."

Our afternoon snack

The photos did not turn out very well, but the bread was delicious!!

Poor Amanda! Did you do ANY of the work, Carrie?

Ha! My job was to film, and take care of the mixer/oven tasks.
