Getting Ready for Halloween

Today was the perfect day to work on getting ready for Halloween. It was cloudy, gray and looked like rain.

What better way to turn a day around than by making a big batch of pumpkin cookies! We made several dozen and fun decorating them with sprinkles, gumdrops and chocolate chips.

They turned out pretty well... and tasted mighty delicious too!

When Liam went down for his nap, we worked on carving our pumpkins.

The girls' job was to sift through all of the pumpkin guts and collect all of the seeds. This was no easy task because it was cold outside and those little hands got pretty chilly! Once it started raining, we took the party inside.

Here we are with our jack o' lanterns!

We can't wait to see how they look tonight once we put candles inside!
