I heard whispering coming from Liam's bedroom around 6:00 this morning. Amanda and Eva had crawled into his bed to wish him a happy birthday. Eva said,"Happy Birthday, Liam! You were born 45 minutes ago!" (He was born at 5:12 am.)
After school yesterday, we had a party with five of his classmates. Amanda and Eva were on the 'party planning committee' with me, and they were both a huge help - cleaning, making the birthday sign, and creating the Pin the Tail on the Donkey games!

We had not one, but TWO Pin the Tail on the Donkey games. One made by Eva...
And the other made by Amanda... Pretty creative, and it's neat to see the two perspectives.
The girls made thiscolorful sign for the front door.
Liam had requested KFC for dinner: fried chicken, mashed potatoes/gravy, mac n cheese and buttermilk biscuits.
The boys kept themselves busy by playing with the racetrack, LEGOs, the Skylanders figures, and PlayStation.

The time flew by and before we knew it, it was time for them to leave!
Tomorrow we will have a bigger party with the family and close friends: pulled pork, homemade coleslaw and baked beans, and an OREO ice cream cake.
This just in: Liam lost a tooth, his second one!! I wonder if the Tooth Fairy brings more money when you lose a tooth on your birthday?
We could not ask for a more pleasant, easy-going kid. Liam is loving, polite, helpful, smart as a whip, and always has a smile on his face. He completes our family, and none of us could imagine life without him. We love you, Budder!
