In Marshfield, the 3rd of July is a bigger deal than the 4th. Traffic starts to back up by 9 am, as people from out of town make their way to the beaches. We do not have an official fireworks display, but you can expect to see plenty of them all the way up and down the coast.
We had friends over for a cookout and campfire, complete with marshmallows.

At dusk, we walked across the road to the neighbor's house. From high
up on their hill, we had a perfect view of Rexhame, Fieldston and Brant
Rock beaches. It was an awesome night!
