Lake Champlain, here we come!!

The van is packed and ready to go, so we can get an early start tomorrow morning. The kids are so eager to get going (and so am I!)  They are so excited to get out of town that they asked if we could leave at 5 am. I'm shooting for 7 am, personally. 

It takes about 6 hours to get to Plattsburgh, NY (across from Burlington, VT on Lake Champlain) but we will be taking the scenic route instead of the most direct route. 

On our agenda for the week? We aren't sure! We'll take it as it comes. The two most talked about ideas are returning to the Lake Placid area in the Adirondacks to visit the Wild Center. We have been there once before, when Eva had just turned two, bur none of the kids really remember it. Two weeks ago, they opened a new feature: a boardwalk sort of a thing in the treetops! It sounds like a Must See type of thing.

Another possibility is driving up to Montreal for a day. We will be staying in a cabin just 18 miles south of the Canadian border. I will be sure to write about the trip and post photos.

Saturday morning - 5:10 am

Sure enough, the kids weren't kidding about leaving early. They are all dressed and ready to go, and even made their beds!
